MY RECOMMENDED SADDLES.
AN OUTSTANDING OPPORTUNITY TO GET A GREAT DEAL ON AN EXCELLENT SADDLE.
Hi – Larry Trocha here.
If you've been with me for a while, you know for the past several years, I've been trying to find an exceptionally good saddle maker who's saddles meet all my demanding criteria.
The point being… to be able to offer my training clients, members and subscribers a heck of a good deal on an outstanding saddle.
I managed to put together a similar deal a few years ago but unfortunately it was short lived.
With todays rising costs… a good saddle that's realistically priced is needed more than ever.
Okay, so what's my criteria for what I consider a GOOD saddle?
It's a saddle that allows the rider to SIT THE STOP and RIDE IN BALANCE.
Basically, a well-designed saddle that helps a person ride well.
I see it all the time… people using a saddle that actually HINDERS their riding instead of helping it.
Most people ride poorly designed saddles that cause a rider to lose his balance on the stops and turns.
Poorly designed saddles that make it difficult to get in "time" with the horse and execute the cues properly.
It's a big problem yet few riders are even AWARE of it.
Why aren't they aware?
Because few riders have ever had the opportunity to ride a PROFESSIONALLY DESIGNED saddle.
Which means, they have nothing to compare their poorly designed saddle to!
They have no idea what a huge difference it can make in their riding skills and communication with their horse.
What is a professionally designed saddle?
It's a saddle that HELPS a horse and rider do their best.
It's "close contact"… it's a seat pocket that's low, centered and balanced.
It's stirrup leathers that are hung in the correct position for optimum balance and performance.
It's a "leg path" from seat to stirrup that allows for exceptional balance and security.
it's a saddle tree that fits a horse's back and shoulders correctly and allows him to move.
It's a saddle you'll see ALL the top trainers riding at the shows.
Go to any big-money reining, cutting or reined cow horse event and you'll see EVERY single trainer there astride a saddle that is extremely well designed.
And yes, I know you're dying to ask me this question:
Larry, if those saddles are so good and are readily available, why can't a person just go buy one?
I mean, that seems like the logical solution.
Here's my reply:
A person CAN just go buy one (if they know where to go).
But the reason they don't buy is because the COST is too high.
The price of those saddles start at $4,000… and that's for the plain-jane, stripped-down model.
Add a little tooling… add some nice conchos and the cost will be closer to $5000.
Let's face it, not many folks are willing to pay that much.
Your average rider is wanting to spend around $2400 for a saddle and that's about it.
At this point in time, there are NO $2400 saddles on the market that help a rider sit the stop and ride in balance.
The big CHALLENGE is to find a saddle that's designed right, is high in quality, fits a horse well yet priced low enough so the average person can afford it.
This is a very difficult thing to accomplish.
Every year, there has been two or three saddle makers who call me up and say… "Larry, do I have a saddle for you! It's exactly what you've been looking for to offer your clients.
I've been to your website, read all your criteria and this saddle will definitely fit the bill."
I tell them… "Great, if you want me to try it… send it."
And what do they send me?
They send me a piece of crap that doesn't even come close.
Then they expect me to PAY them for it or PAY to ship it back.
This has cost me a ton of money. And…
FRANKLY, I'M SICK OF IT!
Here's the truth… unless a saddle maker has SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE of what's needed for reining, cutting and reined cow horse, his saddles won't even come close to being right.
What's more, lot's of these saddle makers are un-scrupulous SOB's who simply don't listen to their customer.
Many feel they can send the customer just about anything and get away it.
Why do they feel they can get away with it?
Because the vast majority of their customers don't know the difference between good saddle design and bad saddle design.
If the average rider gets a poorly designed saddle, he doesn't even realize it. He thinks that's the way a saddle is supposed to be.
And the truth is, most saddle makers don't know the difference either.
Most are simply leather "craftsmen". They are NOT "horsemen".
Having a typical saddle maker design a saddle, is like having somebody design a race car who has never driven in a race.
A SADDLE THAT I ABSOLUTELY LOVE! THIS ONE WILL DEFINITELY WORK.
I hate to get my hopes up.
I really do.
I've been disappointed so many times.
I hate finding a saddle that feels great, looks great, rides great, fits the horse great and is priced right… only to discover there's a glitch that could ruin the whole thing.
Here's what has recently happened.
I know of a saddle produced by an exclusive shop that is so good, it's almost too good to be true.
Actually, I've been aware of this saddle shop for years but they were always so busy, I was never able to get my foot in the door to do business with them.
Their design, their leather, as well as their price point is exactly what my training clients and members need!
This particular saddle shop, hand-makes every single piece of their saddles. Everything they produce is high-quality.
And because of that, they have an impeccable reputation.
This shop is directly responsible for the success of several major brand names of hand-made saddles. The brands that many of the top trainers ride at the big-money reining, cutting and reined cow horse events.
So, what's the glitch?
Here it is… There is high demand along with a very long waiting list for their saddles. Makes them hard to do business with as they aren't hungry for new customers.
The only reason this shop is willing to talk to me now, is because I was given a special introduction by a person who pulls a lot of weight.
(And yes, I booked a plane and flew all the way to Texas just to make sure I got that special introduction)
And because of that, they have agreed to supply me with some of their saddles.
HOWEVER, they only promised me a LIMITED supply.
They wouldn't specify how many saddles "limited" means but my guess is it ain't a lot.
Anyway, below are the types of saddles I ordered and they should arrive around late January to late February.
I asked them to send some of their "Ranch Versatility" saddles. These have a western "ranch" look that I really like. You can do anything in these… reining, cutting, steer stopping etc.
I also asked them to send some of their "Competition Cutting" saddles with show tooling. These look great. And even though they are suitable for serious cutting competition, they also work well for ranch sorting, reining and reined cow horse.
And I asked them to send some of their "Show Reiner" saddles. These are absolutely GORGEOUS. A beautiful look in the show pen. These reining saddles will also work well for multiple purposes like training and trail riding.
I also ordered an "ULTRA-LITE" performance saddle. You can rein, cut, ranch sort, train and trail ride in this saddle. The only difference is that it's a lot lighter in weight. A big advantage for some horses and riders.
In all these saddles, I ordered seat sizes of 16 and 16 1/2 inches as these sizes will fit the majority of riders.
SPECIAL OFFER… LISTEN UP… YOU DO NOT WANT TO MISS THIS!
The normal retail price of these high-quality saddles is $3,500.
However, I plan on letting you have them at a HUGE 30% DISCOUNT!
That means you will SAVE OVER $1000 OFF what the saddles would normally sell for.
Your total cost on ANY of these saddles will be ONLY $2450.
That's right!
TOTAL COST WILL BE ONLY $2450!
Some may be a little bit less. Some a little more.
Whatever the case, it'll be an outstanding bargain.
YOU'LL GET AN UNCONDITIONAL 100% MONEY BACK GUARANTEE
Yes, you read that right… an "unconditional" guarantee.
If you buy the saddle and for ANY REASON decide you don't want it, send it back for a refund.
I realize it's scary to buy a saddle that you haven't sat in or placed on your horse's back… and that's the reason for this guarantee.
Frankly, I'm positive you'll LOVE the way the seat rides and feels. No need to be concerned about that.
The main reason for the guarantee is to protect you in case the tree doesn't fit your horse.
The tree in these saddles are designed to fit the vast majority of Quarter Horses that are the type used for reining, cutting etc.
As a matter of fact, it'll fit well on 85% of horses that have a normal-shaped back, no matter what their breed.
However, NO saddle tree fits EVERY horse. That just isn't possible.
So, if you get the saddle and find it doesn't fit your horse, simply send it back. No hassles. No jumping through a bunch of hoops.
LET'S WRAP THIS UP
Once the saddles arrive (late January), I'll take a bunch of photos and post them on a web page so you can see exactly what they look like.
I'll then send out an email letting you know they are ready for sale.
When that happens, I wouldn't mess around and wait. I'd jump on it immediately.
If you don't, the saddles will all be sold and you'll be left without one.
Then you'll have to wait for the next shipment to arrive and I have no idea how long that will be.
If you'd like to get on the "EARLY BIRD" list, you are welcome to do so. I've posted a sign-up form below.
Folks on the EARLY BIRD list will be notified a day or two before everybody else… giving them a better chance at getting a saddle before they are sold out.

Here's the link to my video titled, "How To Choose A Saddle For Reining & Cutting".
You may want to watch it to learn about the important factors to consider when choosing a saddle.
Okay, that's all for now.
I'm pretty excited about this. Can't wait for those saddles to get here!
Take care,
