New videos by top working cow horse trainers...
Sandy Collier and Lynn Anderson
Here are the best DVDs Ive seen on this exciting event. Sandy
Collier and Lynn Anderson are two of the top competitors in the
National Reined Cow Horse Association and they did a really good job
of showing how to get a colt trained to compete in this tough event.
These tapes include some awesome footage of the two trainers showing
at the big SBF in Reno. Youll see some breathtaking examples of big
stops, blurring spins and tough cow work. Sandy is a long-time friend of
mine. I met her about 15 years ago at a show in southern California.
Year after year Ive watched her turn out winning horses. Sandy is
the only woman who has won the prestigious NRCHA Snaffle Bit Futurity.
Last year, she almost won it again. She was in the lead after showing in
the go-rounds, then barely got beat out in the finals.
Lynn Anderson has won more year-end Bridle and Hackamore
championships than I have room to print here. She has also made the
finals of the Snaffle Bit Futurity several times. In this video she does
a good job of explaining her procedure for preparing a colt for the SBF.
