Save $30 Off the Regular Price!

Do you want to START an un-broke colt or RE-TRAIN an older horse that doesn't know how to work right?

If so, this is the training package for you.

The Foundation Training Package contains the information you need to get your colt started the right way.

This package shows how to start un-broke colts under saddle and takes you through the first 90 days of training.

You'll learn how to teach a totally green horse the primary training to stop, back-up and turn on his hocks.

You'll see how to teach your horse to pick up the correct lead and lope nice circles.

Most importantly, you'll learn how to develop a light, responsive horse that is supple and a pleasure to ride.

The information found in this package is also great for re-training older horses that don't know how to work or have developed bad habits.

I strongly recommend applying the training material in the Foundation Package and then moving to the next level with the Performance Package.

Here are the videos you get when you order the Foundation Training Package.

6-hours of top-notch colt starting and foundation training!

Purchased individually, the price of these videos would total $186.

Hey!
I have been reading your newsletter for quite some time and was curious if you think the foundation starter package would be best for me? Let me give you some background info. I am getting a 5 year old paint gelding that has go man go and jet something or other in his background. He had 90 days as a three year old (or so I was told) and then left to sit. So basically I will be starting over. I don't know the extinguish of his training either. I want to barrel race and just have him do local shows in the future so I would like a solid start to make him an all around horse. I am a rather small woman (5 feet and 115 lbs), but am a very experienced rider. However; I have never started my own horse so this is a start! If you could email me or call me that would be fantastic!
Thanks,
Kenzie

Hello Larry,

I hace a 4 1/2 he gelding that I just got, he is very responsive when taught correctly. He is very entle and broke. I have worked on things here and there but nothing major because I do not know the basics real well. Before I go any further, which package do you recommend considering that the horse is not a colt and that I am an experienced rider but that does not know the techniques to teach reining, stopping, etc..
Please call me if possible for you and we can chat briefly to give you the quick details for you to assess.
Thanks

HI Larry
I have just recently purchased your Foundation Training for turns, Circles and Leads. I also purchased Western Riding Know How. I have just returned to my passion of riding from a 28 year absence of "Life getting in the way". I used to show halter and western pleasure so that's where my training lies. I am interested in team sorting (which I have never done before) and of course just trail riding. I have purchased a young 3 year old filly (Doc's Hickory breeding) that has had about 60 days of professional training on her. She is very smart and willing with a wonderful disposition. I want to keep her that way. I find that your videos are very informative and easy to learn from. I am also finding that there are a lot if changes in training from when I was involved. I have lots to learn and am truly enjoying the experience.
Can you recommend the videos that I should add to my collection please now that I have these two that I mentioned earlier in my email.
Thank you

Marilu

@Marilu Muphy: Hi Marilu. Glad to hear you are having success with your new horse. I agree with you… training a nice horse is lots of fun.

I would next recommend the Performance Package: http://www.horsetrainingvideos.com/performance-package.htm

Applying the principles in those dvds will take your filly to the next level.

If you would like to do team sorting or ranch sorting, train your horse similar to a cutting horse: http://www.horsetrainingvideos.com/cuttersonly.htm

Or… You could go for the Mega Package: http://www.horsetrainingvideos.com/mega-package.htm... and get a huge discount.

Call up the office and ask Bev to substitute other dvds for the two you already have.

To be good, you'll need to learn to read cattle.

Go and watch as many cattle events as you can and pay attention to their body language.

Also… in the near future, I'll be opening the Inner Circle to new members.

It may be something you will like.

Good luck,

Larry T.

What is your thoughts on the bitless bridles out there and is there any recommendation on a make and can they be a performance bridle.

@Ben: Hi Ben. I'm not very familiar with the different brands of bitless bridles that are being sold.

Unless, your horse has a physical problem, like a cut tongue, there is no good reason to use one.

A horse isn't going to respond to it nearly as well as he'd respond to a bit or a braided California hackamore.

Hi Mr. Trocha , I have a 9yr old Appaloosa which I just gelded only months ago and now want to break to ride . I sent him to a local trainer as I did not want to get hurt myself and she basically made him worse . I do not have much money for trainers so I am wondering if this foundation training will help someone like me start this horse ? He is spooky now and hard to catch most days and basically acts as though he is beat 7 days a week until you spend a few moments with him . He was not like this before he was gelded so I also wonder maybe that had a impact on him . I currently go out and play with him and will jump up on him with no tack and he will stand there and maybe after a bit move about some . I am considering sending him away to another trainer once I have the money as I want him started right . I am worried I don't have time or the knowledge .

Larry,
Just purchased your spins and rollbacks video and are anxiously awaiting their arrival.
I have two mares I puchased specifically for reining – very good bloodlines. They are both coming along great but I am now having a major problem with one of them. I had them both spinning awesome but this problem mare started souring on spins. She has started developing this habit of locking up on me on a left spin, then she started stopping and locking her rear and and is now rearing up on me as soon as she feels a left turn is coming on a spin. She is gettin progressively worst with each training session and I'm hoping that your video will shed some light on what I can do to get her back in line. Any advice you can offer would be greatly appreciated! Great work on the videos…

Alex

@Alex Nevarez: Hi Alex. Hanging up in the spins is usually caused by a lack of forward impulsion. Whenever it happens, drive your horse forward into a small circle the same direction as the spin. Repeat as necessary.

Good luck,

Larry T.

Mr Trocha

I stay in Namibia and would like to order the Colt Starter DVD's. I dont know if the format of DVD will work on our DVD players? As far as I know you get DVD 1 and DVD 2 formats? Does your DVD's work on any PC's?

There is also the shipping requirements to Namibia. If I order the package would the shipping be a problem?

Thank you in this regards

Rian

@Janie Favreau: Hi Janie. Yes, I did reply to your email answering your request. You either missed it, deleted it or it ended up in your junk or spam folder. I also noticed you sent your message using someone elses email address. How is that going to work?

Do you have a program where I can purchase the Foundation package, on time, (monthly payments?) I have worked with companies that needed extra revenue, and had never thought of providing a payment plan, you can add from 10-15 per cent for carring the customer, and if you do, what would be the monthly payments.

@Diana: Hi Diana, Sorry, no payment plan. It requires too much bookwork to manage and I hate bookwork.
Take care,
Larry T.
