Thank you for this tip. After 35 yrs on the ground. I am now getting back into riding. For the life of me, I could not "find my sit". Will, I just read why. Starting tomorrow, when I go riding next, I will try to " shake myself loose". I do remember riding soft and relaxed in the saddle. Was told this by an old cowboy who said if I did, most horses would not put me on the ground. And he was right, most horses couldn't, at that time. There is always an exception. Thanks again for the timely tip.

@Cathy Gilstrap: Hi Cathy. I send out horse training tip emails on a regular basis so if you aren't receiving them, it could be one of the reasons below:

#1. Your email client is putting them in your "spam" or "junk" folder and you aren't checking.
#2. You changed your email address and didn't update your supscription info.
#3. You sent me a message that pissed me off and I deleted you from my list.

Take care,

Larry T.

Love the letters, some times they hit home with what I'm working on. I too had an accident that ruptured a ligament in my knee. I came off while trying to do a flying lead change on a horse that knows how to do it. I do not. I have been working with someone for a year and have found my relaxed seat. I have just started working on how to do the flying lead change. We are making progress.... Now that I know how to relax more I am a much better rider. It is a slow process as I am doing the training myself. I have learned alot and the plan is to attend some shows this year in reining.
Thanks for all you information that you give out Larry it is really helpful.
