Hi Larry. I've only been into reining/reined cow horse for about a year and a half. I have a full time trainer whose methods are very much like yours so I feel really safe and secure using your viedos and discussions without becoming confused. They allow me to reinforce my memory between lessons without worry that I'm remembering something incorrectly.
This show season I've graduated to my lovely mare who was shown by my trainer last season with some degree of success so I'm very excited.
Thanks for all the help you give us as "Greenies".

Hay Larry, I'm green with reining but very interested, I'm wondering what you look for in a winning reining and or reined cow horse? Age, breeding, confirmation? I recently bought a Quarter horse and I'm wondering if he's cut out for it, thanks :)

Hi Larry i was wondering how i could get my paint to quit fighting me with his head. He does great till he gets tired then he starts swinging his head around, note- i do have to ride him with a tie down.

@Taylor: Hi Taylor. If your horse doesn't focus at the barrel race, he probably won't focus at a reining class either.

Some horses simply need to be hauled a bunch before they learn to perform well at a show.

Others, simply aren't show horses and never will be.

Take your horse to more shows and school him through the run.
