Tape #1: The Progressive Steps of Foundation Training

With Al Dunning

Beginning in the round pen, Al accustoms a horse to being lunged, saddled, bridled and ground-driven over several sessions. Next is actual riding, and Al shows how to make this transition smoothly and safely.

Then, training progresses out of the round pen to the arena, developing body control and suppling, creating correct leads and round smooth circles. The video also includes training outside the arena, and techniques for bitting up, stopping, turns and backing up.
